Buying property in Alicante and on the Costa Blanca
The province of Alicante covers most of the Costa Blanca, around 200 km of coastline between Dénia and the border with Murcia. Alicante-Elche Airport has direct flights to many European cities, and the climate is mild all year. The coast has two quite different halves:
- South (Vega Baja) – Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa: flat coastline, sandy beaches, many residential complexes and the most moderate prices on the Costa Blanca.
- North (Marina Alta and Marina Baixa) – Altea, Jávea, Dénia, Polop and Moraira: mountains close to the sea, coves, villas on hillsides and higher prices.
The city of Alicante itself offers city living with a beach promenade, marina and castle; Santa Pola and Mutxamel lie close by.
